Hello, I'm Judiann
I enjoy working with older adolescents (17+), young adults, college students of any age, and adults that may be encountering stressors and many of life's changes.
I understand that healing, growing, moving forward & having a fulfilling life may feel out of reach when life is difficult.
If you've been struggling with adapting to life changes, feeling drained by stress, experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship struggles, or even traumatic events, I'd like to help you move forward.
I enjoy using Client-Center Therapy with my clients and believe that establishing a rapport is an important part of the process. Our work together may include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a therapy technique using eye movements to help manage disturbing memories. By doing so, we can help you reach your full potential - To THRIVE, not just survive.
Educational & Professional History
I received a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a Master's in Education from James Madison University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate [A16957] approved by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors [NCBLCMHC]. In addition, I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), and EMDR trained. I have 20+ years of working in various roles in the community college setting and have spent the last 15 years teaching in a community college as well. I have experience in advising, teaching, recruiting, and human resources.

I enjoy yoga, shopping at farmer's markets and festivals, and antiquing in my free time. Attending concerts and finding good food and good music are also some favorite things I like to do. Above all, time spent with family and friends truly brings me the most joy.
Collaboratively, we will focus on what matters to you, identify barriers holding you back & help you sustain your progress as you move forward. Sessions will involve a wellness approach that is a fit for you.
