Do you feel overwhelmed with stress and that living the life you dreamed of is just out of reach? Do anxiety and fear impact your ability to be present and feel joy? Are perfectionism and self-doubt inhibiting your ability to get tasks accomplished with confidence?
Hello, I'm Jaime
I have a passion for helping people grow to understand how their past impacts their present as they work toward achieving their desired life goals.

With me, you will find a gentle approach that makes talking about difficult things a little easier. I am trained in Brainspotting Therapy but collaborate to find the method that feels right for each individual. Those often include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and I also enjoy blending elements from art therapy.

In addition, I have experience in dual diagnosis and help those struggling with any form of addiction to get to the heart of the emotional pain or trauma driving the desire to numb.
As Dr. Gabor Maté said, “Not why the addiction but why the pain. Trauma is not what happens to you. Trauma is what happens inside you as a result of what happens to you.”

My Professional Background
I attended undergraduate at Guilford College and graduated with a degree in Psychology. In 2019, I received my Master of Social Work from The Joint Master of Social Work Program at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and The University of North Carolina in Greensboro, North Carolina. My experience includes therapist roles in both inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings, treating youth through geriatric.
A little more about me...
Originally from the Midwest, I moved to North Carolina with my family nearly twenty years ago. I am the mom of three, nearly adult children, and love a rowdy, family game night. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, attending concerts, exploring local parks, and gardening. Our family also includes Talia, a rambunctious aussiedoodle, and Mittens our cat.

Brené Brown said, "Loving ourselves through the process of owning our story is the bravest thing we will ever do."
It is my honor to walk beside clients and support them through whatever is leading them to seek therapy. If life sometimes seems too overwhelming to handle or you feel stuck, let me help you find the joy in life again.
